Description
In this photo, American Oil, the American dream is the concept. As well as the idea that drives the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. The American West was once a wild and untamed frontier. However, after the Louisiana Purchase, the westward movement was in full swing. Americans, to this day, associate freedom with land and prosperity. In the painting, American Progress by John Gast we see a symbol of America’s pursuit of the western frontier. Because the spirit that drove Americans then is still alive today. We continue the legacy of adventure. We do this through exploration and innovation. That heritage lives in the heart of the wildcatter. Because they are willing to risk it all in oil exploration.
If this stubborn breed of Americans believes in the dream. Then they prove it with their tenacity and willingness to fail if necessary. They always know if they hit oil, they will realize their dreams. The Petroleum industry is still a frontier. Because it’s an industry that drives our everyday activities. The Oil industry helps make America strong. American Oil reminds me of that same American spirit. To capture this amazing sunset still takes my breath away. The rig and activity around it appear simple and unrefined. As well as hard work and determination to get the job done. When I finished the developing and looked, I saw the symbol of American Oil.
