In the image, Dinner Time, the Longhorns are majestic creatures that really represent the essence of Texas. They, come in a variety and mix of colors. Earning respect for their high drought tolerance. They have a uniquely, unmistakable look. Because of their characteristically long horns, that can measure up to eight feet wide. They are fairly docile animals, highly intelligent. Also, they embody strength and power. Just like this exceptional type of cattle, Texans, are a rare breed of people. Texans are diverse, resilient, and unmistakable. The spotted beauties that I captured in this photo, were apparently anxiously awaiting their next meal. They thought I was there to feed them.
This black and white spotted leader was serious about being fed. As his gaze locked onto my camera lens, creating a perfectly piercing photo. Next, this fantastic beast inched towards me as a filament of drool hung from its salivating mouth. Finally, never taking his eyes off of me, he stared squarely in my direction. Then the other brown and white spotted Longhorns started peaking around the back of their leader. They were more cautious and reserved. However, they were still curious about my existence and interested in the possibility of food. Standing strong under a fantastic blue sky with the sun shining directly above. The Texas Longhorns cast shadows down on the otherwise shade-less terrain. Longhorns, today wear tags, stay in a fenced area, and free to roam within boundaries. However still emanating the vigor, endurance, and pride of Texas whenever it is Dinner Time.
