Driver’s Seat is the perfect reflection of the good old days. This old truck is the perfect reminder of times past but not forgotten. Window down, no air-conditioning. The wear and tear of the elements have only added to the character. Even though this truck is sitting off to the side, it could just as easily be the old rancher’s truck as he is riding lease roads to feed the cows and make sure no one is speeding. It is a reminder of those who have survived out here through boom and bust.
Those who have worked the land and found a way to make it work through the lean times. Those that would keep driving that old truck because it’s dependable and it’s paid for. It is a tip of the hat to the way things once were and the way some things still are. It’s a friendly wave at the person passing by you on the road. There aren’t many left that are cut from the same mold as he is, but they were a good group of great men. As he looks out across his land, where the rigs are stacked up. He realizes that he is finally sitting in the Driver’s Seat.
