Description
This image, Echoes of Grace is so peaceful and full of promise. Imagine a ghost town, everything is gone of what was once busy with people, ideas, energy, and religion. Only a few buildings remain in ruins and you see this reminder. Because it was once so full of life. The town itself in similar ruin but nothing standing quite as tall as this church. This reminds us of a place where people prayed, laughed, fellowshipped, and gave thanks. The dark background really highlights the almost ghostly memory of another time and another place. It’s hard to stop looking deeper into the cracks, crevices, and rubble.
I even find it hard to take my eyes away from the exposed foundation and bricks, scanning for any signs of life. Even the small trees that have taken root inside the walls here seem to have seen better days. Although it is interesting that they have taken sanctuary here. The empty bell tower giving the suggestion that where there was once sound there is now silence. Yet there is a peaceful energy comes through the picture still echoing a time that has past. There is something serene about the echoes of sound, silence, structure, ruin, neglect, and Echoes of Grace.
