Sometimes in this often thankless profession, the value of looking yourself in the mirror, and knowing you did right today goes a long way. Those who find themselves in the oilfield as a career have learned that the things that really matter, are pretty black and white.
The fact that you are true to your word. Then the idea that the reason you work hard is that you were taught to. Finally that each person is accountable someday to someone. These notions are not just the way some people live but its a code out here. The code of the old school. The mindset for adventure and Exploration. The values and hard work that has been the backbone of this industry. Also, that rewards for that hard work often come in simple packages, like sunsets. Things of true beauty that money can’t buy.
