Description
The image, Fierce Sky, gets its inspiration from clouds from high above the ground. As they look out over the blazing pattern created by the sun. Then the sun reflecting on the dust and dirt in the air. Peering out into the vast blue sky sometimes the patterns are so stunning. There are some things that can be seen on such a large scale and yet so brief if you don’t pay attention you can miss it in the blink of an eye. This exciting cloud structure is what catches the eye next. The fan-like lines reaching out like claws. Finally getting past the vibrant colors and amazing clouds stands the Rig. The rig almost exactly mimicking the colors of the sky behind.
It’s very exciting to get to see so much color and on such a large scale. I have to stop for a moment and let my eyes adjust. Enjoying each detail and etching it into my memory. Then the beauty of how open it is in West Texas. I’m fairly certain that most of the world does not get to enjoy the open expanse. However sad it is that everyone else misses out on our sunsets, I can’t let it stop me from getting the shot. Finally getting to capture the image of that Fierce Sky exactly how I remember it.
